We are pleased to confirm our dates for 19-24 May, 2017 in Grenada with additional dates to include Carriacou.
We expect a positive impact on Grenada’s visitor arrivals so Tourism will get a huge boost. In addition this is a showcase to develop talents in the film production sector here locally and this includes Music videos, local TV Advertising and local documentaries.

Senator the Honorable Brenda Hood – Minister for Culture & Cooperatives
Since 2004, the Minister has been actively supporting the creation of a Grenada Film Commission. Moving forward, the Minister is embracing the Grenada Global Film Festival in full support. She is endorsing sponsorship of the GGFF by businesses, organizations, and individuals, anyone really, who wants to support this important new endeavor.
Mrs. Ellen Bishop-Spielman – Managing Director
Owner of the Maurice Bishop English Institute, Founder of “Art in the Park’ and “A Movie” that is a Non-Profit Organization. Presently, Mrs. Bishop Spielman is on the Advisory Committee of CaribbeanLens and the Chair of the newly developing Grenada Film Commission. Since 2004, Mrs. Bishop Spielman has been active in the creation of the Grenada Film Commission. She has produced; several cooking productions for television and YouTube. Mrs. Bishop Spielman is also a screen play Co-Writer, such play like “Cane Fire” and “Inbox”.
Mr. Chuck Boller as Senior Advisor
Mr. Chuck Boller was the former Executive Director and Legal Counsel of the Hawaii International Film Festival. Chuck has been actively involved in film festivals for over 35 years and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to GGFF in this current role. Chuck is also very involved with the international film industry, particularly in China, and emphasizes that GGFF serves as an avenue for local and international filmmakers to screen their films. People worldwide are looking for new stories to portray on the international stage and this is an excellent opportunity for local people to get the recognition they deserve, he states.
